Changelog

A light and dark mode switch with a rebuilt light theme, a delete confirmation for Space users, and fixes for Openprovider and Cloudflare.

DNSense changelog cover: a record table split between light and dark mode

Most of this release went into the interface. DNSense had been dark-only since launch, and that is no longer the case.

Light and dark mode

There is now a theme switch in the account menu. Dark mode is unchanged. Light mode has been rebuilt from scratch rather than inverted, so contrast on record types, badges and table rows actually holds up in a bright office.

Delete confirmation for Space users

Removing a record from a Space now asks for confirmation first. Space users are often working in a client's zone, where an accidental delete is expensive, so the extra click is worth it.

Fixes

  • Editing Openprovider records failed in some cases. Fixed.
  • Cloudflare API calls have been made more reliable when a zone has many records.
  • Creating a record now handles a few edge cases around trailing dots and empty names correctly.

Under the hood

Dependencies across the stack were updated and the codebase went through a lint pass. Nothing you will notice directly, but it keeps future releases boring, which is how DNS should be.
